Praga Kart concluded the 2013 season on a high note in the WSK Final Cup held at Castelletto di Branduzzo (It) in early November. The KZ2 team was strengthened by the arrival of Belgian champion Jonathan Thonon, who set some excellent performances on his first race with Praga.
«A lot of discoveries for me this weekend», Thonon confessed. «I have met the team and found my feet with this new kart. Track conditions have changed a lot, but I am satisfied with this first contact. I have felt at ease right away behind the wheel of my Praga and my times have been promising. I feel I can achieve great results with this team!». Thonon, who took third place in the pre-final, regained some places in the final race after a few nervous laps, by driving as fast as the leaders.
The French driver Alexandre Arrue was also there for the occasion, proving his out-of-common fighting spirit, not far from that of his team mates. It was Patrik Hajek who highlighted at best the potential of his Praga/Parilla throughout the meeting. He was third already in timed qualifying and then won two heats out of three before winning the pre-final His duel with Davide Forè continued in the final race, with some heated battles, and Hajek crossed the finish line as the winner thanks to an excellent strategy, enabled by his top-performing kart. This was a nice international victory, which will further motivate the team with a view to next year.
Karol Dabski experienced quite a few problems in KF, but staged a brilliant 17-place recovery in the final race. The young Rasmus Lindh was always in the lead pack in 60 Mini and won two heats. Slowed down at the start of the pre-final, he managed to move up again little by little in this hard-fought class.
