In the WSK Champions Cup, a mini-championship run over two events at La Conca, Forza Racing were able to work efficiently on their Tony Kart / TMs with new tyres for 2014 under conditions of strong grip for the first time this season, as well as in the rain during the downpours. The KF drivers have already been able to achieve good performances while learning continues for the KF-Juniors.
Competing only in the second round, Kevin Rossel was again one of the fastest in KF, 3rd in qualifying and 4th in the intermediate classification, before being eliminated at the start of the final. Sidney Gomez returned to the top 10 of the final with gusto and Yan Shlom just missed qualification due to a retirement, after he was 15th in the first heat.
The arrival of the British driver Martin Ross in KF-Junior for the second meeting allowed Forza Racing to reach the final thanks to his beautiful 9th ??position in the prefinal. The Italian Aldo Festante is not far away in terms of performance, but for Wiktoria and Julia Panckiewicz qualification is still to come. However, sometimes the harshness of the struggle in the pack has made their task harder during these two weekends.
“I am pleased with the progress we have made technically at La Conca,” said team principal Jamie Croxford. “Early in the season, we need to get our bearings with the new elements of the team, and it is going well! Our young drivers are gaining experience for the rest of the season. Kevin running in the top group in KF is an important element for the development of the whole team.“
