Victory in KZ2 very nearly went to Thonon at the first round of the WSK Super Master Series at Sarno, Hajek ensured a top five in the top category while in KF Dabski and Bertonelli are in the top 10 in the standings after the event. There was satisfaction for the Czech team that continues to grow in confidence before the major events of the season.
Confident in the performance of its equipment in KZ2, the Praga Kart Racing Team focused on the development of the KF before the Neapolitan meeting. This was work that immediately paid off in a spectacular performance gain as the entire team saw the fruits of their efforts. Karol Dabski was one of the protagonists in the class straight away when he set the 10th fastest time and twice was in the top five in the heats. The best surprise was the new Italian rookie Diego Bertonelli, who made an incredible comeback in the rain from 40th position in the intermediate classification up to 5th in his pre-final, with the 3rd fastest time of the race. Marino Sato followed the same progression from 45th to 9th place. Dabski took advantage of a very competitive kart to gain 11 places in the final and finished seventh, while Bertonelli was near the top 10. The drivers are respectively in 9th and 10th positions in the standings, a very favourable situation for the two events to come.
Accompanied by the Spaniard Jorge Pescador, Patrik Hajek and Jonathan Thonon continued to show off the leading potential of the Praga Karts in KZ2. After a remarkable ascent throughout the meeting, Thonon made a great start in the final and was in 2nd place for a long time. Victory was quite possible. However a technical problem interrupted his superb performance and he had to let Hajek past on the way to fifth position. He is 6th in the standings ahead of his Belgian teammate. Pescador was on the pace quickly, twice in the top 10 in his heats before being forced to withdraw during his prefinal.
