Andrea Dale (CRG / Maxter) drove a very fast lap, ahead of his opponents in the first qualifying session of the KZ2 European Championship at Genk. With 52” 801, he beat Joel Johansson (Righetti / Parilla) by more than 3/10. Kristijan Habulin (TB / Modena) was in third position ahead of Alessio Piccini (Tony Kart / Vortex), Simas Juodvirsis (Energy / Maxter) and Daniel Bray (GP / TM).
During the second session, Andreas Hansen (Tony Kart / Vortex) was fastest – 52” 980 – against Douglas Lundberg (Alpha / Parilla) and Fabian Federer (CRG / Maxter). Marco Zanchetta (Maranello / TM), long in the top group, weakened late in the session and found himself ninth, leaving Guust Specken (Intrepid / TM) 4th, Matteo Zanchi (GP / Tm) 5th and Matteo Vigano (Top Kart / Parilla ) 6th.
The duel between Marijn Kremers (Birel / TM) and Jan Midrla (Birel / TM) in the last session finished to the advantage of Kremers, with 52” 941 on the last lap. Luca Corberi (Kosmic / Vortex) finished in third place ahead of Maik Siebecke (CRG / Modena), John Norris (Mach1/TM) and Ricardo Romkema (Energy / TM).
Dale took pole position in front of the class from Kremers and Hansen. Midrla was 4th, Lundberg 5th, Corberi 6th, Federer 7th, Johansson 8th, Siebecke 9th and Habulin 10th. Charly Bizalion (Alpha / TM) moved up to 32nd, Thomas Maingre (Alpha / TM) 38th, Yohann Cresson (Tony Kart / Vortex) 51st, Amaury Bonduel (ART GP / TM) 58th, Louis Bonsaudo (Alpha / TM) 68th, and Adam Maatougui (Energy / TM) 74th.
