The first two heats in KZ were won by Arnaud Kozlinski (Intrepid / TM). After an excellent start, the French driver was first pursued by Paolo De Conto (Birel / TM) until he broke down on the 3rd lap. Jonathan Thonon (Praga / Parilla) then returned to the wheeltracks of the leader and attacked under braking on the 9th of 12 laps. Kozlinski responded on the following lap, then Marco Ardigo (Tony Kart / Vortex) also passed Thonon who seemed less effective. Rick Dreezen (Zanardi / Parilla) finished fourth ahead of Jorrit Pex (CRG / TM) and Jordon Lennox-Lamb (CRG / Maxter), Jérémy Iglesias (Lenzo / LKE) was 7th, Ben Hanley (ART GP / TM) 8th. Bas Lammers (Formula K / Parilla) set the fastest lap, in 9th with a gain of 7 places. Flavio Camponeschi (Tony Kart / Vortex) and Patrik Hajek (Praga / Parilla) didn’t finish, Anthony Abbasse (Sodi / TM), was held up at the start and finished 17th. Maxime Roy (Tony Kart / Vortex) finished 23rd gaining five places, Thomas Laurent (Tony Kart / Vortex), who lost time at the start, was 26th.
