The Praga Kart Racing Team did a good job at the 2014 WSK Final Cup, the first event ever held on the new track Adria Karting Raceway. Hajek and Thonon ensured a magnificent double on the final podium of the KZ2 category, while Martinez finished his climb in KF-Junior with 8th position and the fastest lap.
Everything was to be learned this weekend on the beautiful site of the Adria Karting Raceway. The track, the surface, and the temperature variations of early November. The Praga / Parilla factory drivers improved steadily since free practice, finally gaining some very encouraging results for the upcoming season.
In KZ2, the two leading drivers of the team recorded a lot of essential data on this new track to provide a reference for the future. Facing formidable opponents, Jonathan Thonon opened the scoring with a fifth fastest time in timed qualifying before finishing third after the heats. Although Thonon remained the fastest in team in the finals, Patrik Hajek took the lead back on the track with his 9th to 4th place in the prefinal and his second place finish in the final. With his 3rd place, Thonon gave Praga a good double on the final podium.
In his first race for Praga / Parilla, the young driver Eliseo Martinez was very satisfied with his new equipment. His progress was impressive throughout the weekend. Only 22nd in qualifying in KF-Junior, Eliseo moved up to 14th position in the heats. Qualified in 17th place for the final, he was able to give his best in a notice with 8th position at the end with the satisfaction of having the fastest lap of the race. This is, by far, his international best international result of the season.
Without a doubt, the 2014 European season has been very successful for Praga Kart with performances at the highest level and evolution against the toughest opponents.
