The Francophile Belgian driver Christophe Adams qualified at the Final of the Rotax Max Challenge France on the circuit of Angerville in mid-October. For the occasion he was racing a new Alpha chassis. The changing weather conditions didn’t help the handling and development of his equipment, but the competition still had some brilliant results for him.
Well ahead on the clock after a very encouraging free practice, Christophe took pole in the rain. With the return of dry weather for the heats, the performance became more difficult to maintain and he dropped to 4th position. He was in the same situation and scored the same result in the prefinal on Sunday, especially good as his chassis had suffered in a crash. But the return of the rain for the final put a smile on the face of the competitive Belgian driver. Indeed, he felt perfectly at ease on the slippery track and finally won at the chequered flag. First in DD2 Master, Christophe was also ranked 4th overall in DD2, some of whom came in early because of the blue flag with a red cross.
Delighted to have won his class, Christophe Adams was then in possession of two tickets to the Rotax Grand Finals in Valencia, along with his previous victory in the BNL Karting Series. “I like Team France, but it seemed more appropriate to leave my place to Guillaume Berteaux and run this time with Belgium.” he explained.
For his 9th consecutive participation in the Rotax world event – a record! – Christophe is racing with the Belgian team, which does not affect his ambitions for victory.
