At Le Mans, the rain stopped an hour before the start of prefinal 1 of the KZ2 International Super Cup. On a wet track and on wet tyres, the start was given after one formation lap. Pedro Hiltbrand (CRG / Maxter) led the first lap with a lead of more than a second on Joel Johansson (Energy / TM), but the Swede came back strongly and took the lead on the 2nd lap. Then Dylan Davies (CRG / TM) attacks the Spanish driver, while Alberto Cavalieri (Righetti / Modena) was close behind his two rivals. Johansson escaped and Davies distanced Hiltbrand and Cavalieri. Nicolas Gonzales (Sodi / TM) took 6th place behind Tom Josef Lorkowski (Righetti / Modena), while Michael Christensen (Praga / Parilla) climbed from 18th to 7th place. Sean Babington (Energy / TM) retired.
At halfway Davies took the lead. There was a fight between Gonzales and Christensen for 5th position. The track dried gradually. Jorge Pescador (Praga / Parilla) was fighting to stay within the qualifiers, while André Reinhard (CRG / Maxter) gained 19 places to reach the final. There was also a big gain for Kevin Engman (Tony Kart / Vortex) who moved into the top 10 after starting 27th.
Victory and fastest lap went to Davies from Johansson, with Hiltbrand 3rd, Cavalieri 4th, Christensen 5th and Gonzales 6th, which was the result of the prefinal where unusual conditions caused a new hierarchy.
