At sunny La Conca, the last two qualifying heats of the World KF Championship in 2015 saw victories for Nicklas Nielsen (Tony Kart / Vortex) and Karol Basz (Kosmic / Vortex). Nielsen won first against Ben Hanley (Croc Promotions / TM) who was more combative than ever, posting a fastest lap significantly faster than Basz in the next race. Martijn Van Leeuwen (CRG / TM) was giving the Pole a headache, while Richard Verschoor (Exprit / Vortex) accelerated towards the end and passed Felice Tiene (CRG / Parilla). Note the performance from Marcus Armstrong (Tony Kart / Vortex), 6th on the line.
The overall ranking of the heats hasn’t changed for the leaders. Basz will start from pole for the prefinal alongside Nielsen, a front row could make sparks, especially as it will be followed by Hanley, Van Leeuwen, Joyner and Verschoor. Davide Fore was excluded from the competition for trying to replace his spoiler after the chequered flag and Kozlinski will be in the repechage, and Benjamin Lessennes preferred to retire on Saturday after his spectacular accident.
