Despite an agitated first lap, Ferenc Kancsar retained the lead of the DD2 Final against Andreas Backman and Mads Thomsen. Luke Varley was only 5th behind Luka Kamali and Bradley Liebenberg who was thendemoted to 26th position before retiring. Kancsar escaped ahead of Backman who had distanced Kamali, now 3rd from Varley and Thomsen. Varley and Kamali crashed and retired on lap 8. Marcel Schirmer returned to 4th and Oriol Dalmau Caballero 5th. Rubens Barrichello continued to gain positions and moved into the top 10 on lap 12. Tyler Kashak captured 4th position against Dalmau while Schirmer dropped back. The leaders having escaped, the interest was transferred to the battle in the pack. Barrichello enlivened the end of the race by grabbing 4th place from Dalmau, attacking in a superb manner, while Sanad Al Rawahi returned to 6th. Nothing disturbed the triumphal march of Kancsar, the winner by 1.6” ahead of Backman, while Thomsen maintained his 3rd place by over 7”.
