Mini Rok held the spotlight on Friday afternoon with their six qualifying heats out of the 11 races of the day. In OK, Nicklas Nielsen (Tony Kart / Vortex) took the lead ahead of Logan Sargeant (FA Kart / Vortex), with Lorenzo Travisanutto (Tony Kart / Vortex) ensuring 3rd position ahead of the poleman Jean-Baptiste Simmenauer (Tony Kart / Vortex) who was still very fast as he held the fastest time until the last lap when Ben Hanley (Croc Promotions / TM) dethroned him and took 5th position. The Frenchman Arnaud Hugo (Tony Kart / TM) took 23rd position despite a penalty of 10s.
Timothy Peisselon (FA Kart / Vortex), pictured above, won the first heat of OK-Junior, C against D, starting from 9th place ahead of his RFM teammate Fin Kenneally (FA Kart / Vortex). Frederik Vesti (Exprit / Vortex) finished 3rd, Noah Watt (Tony Kart / Vortex) 4th and Charles Milesi (Tony Kart / Vortex) 5th. Milan Petelet (Praga / Parilla) regained some ground in 9th position as did Theo Nouet (Energy / TM) in 11th place. Less lucky, Gillian Henrion (Tony Kart / Vortex) retired early in the race. The heat A against B was won by Perdana Minang (Tony Kart / Vortex) ahead of Marzio Moretti (Exprit / LKE) and Ivan Shvetsov (Tony Kart / Vortex). Jostled initallly, Theo Pourchaire (Kosmic / Vortex) rebounded in 12th position, Adam Eteki (Tony Kart / Vortex) gained six places to 16th place ahead of Franck Chappard (Kosmic / Vortex) and Thomas Mialane (Energy / TM).
It was a Tony Kart / Vortex triple in the first KZ2 heat, A against C, with Marco Ardigo, Marcus Armstrong and Leonardo Lorandi. There was a comeback for Menno Paauwe (Birel ART / TM) in 8th position (8 places). Nicolas Gonzales (Sodi / TM) finished in the top 10, Pierre Bourgeois (Tony Kart / TM) 17th, Paolo Besancenez (Tony Kart / Vortex) 20th after a 10” spoiler penalty, which cost him a dozen places, Tom Leuillet (Sodi / TM) was 21st after his spoiler strangely moved after the line, while Jordan Ramon (Birel ART / TM) didn’t complete a lap. In the second heat, B against D, we saw a strong double from the Sodi factory with Bas Lammers (Sodi / TM) the winner and Anthony Abbasse (Sodi / TM) 2nd in its wake, 2” ahead of Alexander Schmitz (Tony Kart / Vortex ), Davide Fore (Righetti / TM) and Flavio Camponeschi (CRG / Parilla). Hubert Petit (Sodi / TM) finished 12th behind Paolo De Conto (CRG / Maxter) and ahead of Gabin Leuillet (Sodi / TM). There was an interesting 18th place for Paul Fontaine (Sodi / TM) who recovered six positions, and 24th position for Victorian Sabotava (Mach 1 / TM) and 25th for Sebastian Lepert (Sodi / TM).
