Hadrien David (Zanardi / Parilla) and O’Neill Muth (Zanardi / Parilla) took the lead in the OK-Junior Final of the European Championship at Le Mans, while Jonny Edgar (Exprit / TM) was in 6th place after the first corner. Gillian Henrion (Tony Kart / Vortex) was fighting against Genis Civico (FA Kart / Parilla) and Kas Haverkort (CRG / Parilla). The Frenchman dropped back on lap 4 after an incident with the Dutchman.
While Reshad De Gerus (Tony Kart / Vortex) lost a bit of ground, Isack Hadjar (Tony Kart / Vortex) returned to the top 10 in front of Harry Thompson (FA Kart / Vortex) who had already climbed 10 places.
Civico had dislodged David from 1st place, Edgar returned to 4th in front of Jack Doohan (FA Kart / Vortex) and Roman Stanek (Kosmic / Vortex). Muth took the lead at the expense of Civico before mid-race, Edgar passed for 3rd ahead of David and Thompson was 6th ahead of Zane Maloney (FA Kart / Vortex).
Edgar continued his march forward by overtaking Civico on the 10th of 19 laps for 2nd place. He took the lead from the slipstream on the next lap. Muth reacted, and David came back to 2nd, but nothing was definitive in this compact group of four drivers with two tenths maximum between each other. This match favoured the gradual return of Stanek and Doohan, followed closely by Hadjar, Elie Goldstein (Kosmic / Parilla), Ilya Morozov (Tony Kart / Vortex) and Chris Lulham (Tony Kart / Parilla).
The slow procedure lasting until penultimate lap allowed a general regrouping before a short restart a few hundred meters before the finish. Muth prevailed ahead of David who controlled Edgar, Civico 4th, Doohan 5th, Stanek 6th, Hadjar 7th, Goldstein 8th, Lulham 9th and Marseglia 10th.
