The OK Final of the European Championship at Ampfing started for 26 under a hot sun and no threat of rain. Hannes Janker (KR / Parilla) shared the front row with Lorenzo Travisanutto (KR / Parilla). The Italian took the lead on the first lap, while Zane Maloney (FA Kart / Vortex) was 3rd and Harry Thompson 4th in front of Juho Valtanen (Kosmic / Vortex). As Travisanutto took off, Maloney attacked Janker on lap 6 and took 2nd position. Meanwhile, David Vidales (Tony Kart / Vortex) regained several places and was 5th.
At the halfway mark, the gaps were narrowing between the top three, Thompson was 4th by more than a second, Luigi Coluccio (Birel ART / TM) was 6th behind Vidales, then came Pedro Hiltbrand (CRG / TM) and Andrea Rosso ( CRG / TM) was in the top 10. Further back, Dexter Patterson (Exprit / TM) and Christopher Lulham (Exprit / TM) crashed and retired. Travisanutto accelerated the pace and outdistanced his opponents in the middle of battle. Janker took 2nd place from Maloney on lap 21, while Coluccio threatened Vidales for 5th place. While Travisanutto had won the race, he slowed down as he approached the finish line and left the win to Janker. Maloney finished 3rd, Thompson 4th, followed by Vidales and Coluccio. Hiltbrand finished 9th ahead of Rosso. Nicklas Nielsen (Tony Kart / Vortex) made the most progress of the race, with 15 places gained to reach 17th place. Evan Spenle (Kosmic / Parilla) was 26th and Vincent Fraisse (Birel ART / TM) 28th.
The Travisanutto manoeuvre allowed Janker to take a slight lead at the top of the standings with 77 points against 58 for Hiltbrand.
