The current state of the overall situation with regard to the COVD-19 pandemic does not allow for a resumption of the sporting activities for a racing team like CPB Sport in the short-term. Nevertheless, Paul Bizalion’s team has remained very active in preparing every detail for the return to the track with the maximum precautions for its drivers and technicians.
“Things are changing rapidly, but the conditions for a return are not yet fully in place,” explains Paul Bizalion. “Although the tracks are starting to reopen locally, travel opportunities are still limited and border crossings are uncertain in many countries. For an international team like ours, this remains a crucial problem. While closely following the latest developments, we have decided to schedule the start of our test sessions for the second half of June to have the best chance of getting all our drivers on the track. And I can assure you that there will be plenty of opportunity to make up for lost time!”
During the long period of quarantine, CPB Sport was not idle. As you can see from the attached document, a strict and comprehensive health protocol has been established to provide the safest possible driving conditions to prevent the spread of the SARS-Covid 2 virus. Assessing the risks and acting accordingly is a basic element of motorsport. In this unique pandemic situation, behaviour must be as responsible as in racing. This is why CPB Sport has thought long and hard about defining simple but rigorous guidelines to protect all team members.
Within the restart of CPB Sport’s sporting activity as soon as the regulatory conditions are favourable and in order to fight against the spread of Covid-19, it is recommended that the following barrier actions be respected, which fulfil the health rules defined by the relevant authorities.
