The 25 drivers of the FIA Karting European KZ Championship delayed their entry on track as much as possible for their timed session in the heat of Wackersdorf. They finished their warm-up lap with less than two minutes to go. But they started strongly, as Marijn Kremers (Birel ART/TM) was already on 47’200. Emilien Denner (Intrepid/TM) then set 46”994 ahead of Riccardo Longhi (Birel ART/TM). Unfortunately, this was the end of the story, with a slight feeling of frustration. Pole position for Denner, Noah Milell 2nd by less than a tenth, then Longhi, Simo Puhakka (Tony Kart/Vortex) and Kremers who had hardly improved. Jérémy Iglesias (CRG/TM) finished 6th by almost 2 tenths, not far from Francesco Celenta (Parolin/TM). Adrien Renaudin (Sodi/TM) was 11th and Yohan Soguel (Oberon/Iame) 14th by 3 tenths, which was already a good performance. Davide Foré (Intrepid/TM) was 19th, ahead of Viktor Gustafsson (Birel ART/TM) and Stan Pex (KR/TM).
