There is record participation with 108 Mini for the second round of the WSK Super Master Series in Lonato. Qualifying took place under a cloudy sky with a temperature of 9° on a dry track.
Filippo Sala (KR/Iame) was the leader of the first session – 52”698 – on the fourth lap, 33 thousandths ahead of Dean Hoogendoorn (Alonso Kart/Iame) with Willliam Calleja (Parolin/TM) 3rd by 54 thousandths. Oliver Rasmussen (CRG/TM) and Oliver Palocko (Parolin/Iame) completed the top five. Walter Schulz (KR/Iame) and François Dario Kerdal (KR/Iame) finished 19th and 20th.
Bogdan Cosma-Cristofor (KR/Iame) quickly took the lead in the second session, but Jack Illife (Parolin/TM) and Ludovico Mazzola (EKS/TM) managed to overtake him. Bogdan Cosma improved on the last lap and took the provisional pole position with 52”684, 7 thousandths ahead of Mazzola. Dan Allemann (EKS/TM) was 3rd, 0.182 seconds ahead of Illife and Andrei Dominic Sutu (Lenzo/LKE). Louis Cochet (Parolin/Iame) finished 14th.
Christian Costoya (Parolin/TM) quickly showed his ambitions in the much faster third session. Roman Kamyab (Parolin/Iame) improved on the pole position on his third run and finished on 52’388, 7 hundredths faster than Scott Lindblom (EKS/TM). Costoya finished 3rd, a tenth behind Kosei Oguma (Parolin/Iame) and David Cosma-Cristofor (KR/Iame).
Dries van Langendonck (Parolin/TM) took the lead in the fourth session on his third lap against Ainis Vibriantis (Energy/TM) and Samuele Cecchetto (Parolin/TM). Vibriantis finished as poleman – 52”369 – followed by Niklas Schaufler (EKS/TM) and Langendonck at 0.141. Jindrich Pesl (Parolin/Iame) was 4th and Ilie Tristan Crisan (KR/Iame) 5th.
