At La Conca, 54 OK-Junior drivers took part in Qualifying Practice for the third round of the WSK Super Master Series. The weather was partly cloudy and the temperature was 13°.
In the first session Anatoly Khavalkin (Parolin/TM) and Kirill Kutskov (Birel ART/TM) were fighting for the fastest lap against Jan Przyrowski (Tony Kart/Vortex). On the fifth lap, Elliot Kacynski (Tony Kart/Vortex) took the lead ahead of Maciej Gladysz (LN/Vortex) and finished in the lead with a time of 45”282, 68 thousandths faster than Gladysz. Kutskov followed by a tenth, then Khavalkin and Gladysz. Andy Consani (Sodi/TM) finished 12th.
Dmitry Matveev (Tony Kart/Vortex) and Oleksandr Bondarev (LN/Vortex) battled it out for the lead in the second session, with Nathan Tye (Sodi/TM) in their wake. Matveev improved several times and finished on provisional pole: 45”059, 0.143” faster than Bondarev. Marcus Saeter (Tony Kart/Vortex) was 3rd by 2 tenths, followed by Taym Saleh (KR/Iame) and Tye at over 4 tenths. Maxens Verbrugge (Exprit/TM) was 11th.
Kirill Dzitiev (Tony Kart/Vortex) was the first to drop the time at the beginning of the third session. Douwe Dedecker (KR/Iame) then took the lead, whilst René Lammers (Parolin/TM) was back in front along with Reno Francot (Birel ART/TM). Pole position remained in the hands of Matveev as Dedecker finished with 45’447, 28 thousandths ahead of Dzitiev. Lewis Wherrel (Exprit/TM) was 3rd, more than a tenth behind, with Lammers and Francot completing the top five.
