The track of La Conca was dry for the OK-Junior Final of the third round of the WSK Super Master Series, but the grip remained moderate. The sun had returned and a breeze was blowing.
René Lammers (Parolin/TM) got off to a good start just behind Douwe Dedecker (KR/Iame), but Oleksandr Bondarev (LN/Vortex) finished the first lap in front. The drivers were obviously looking for grip. Anatoly Khavalkin (Parolin/TM) was 4th ahead of Tigran Bunatyan (Tony Kart/Vortex). Maxens Verbrugge (Exprit/TM) was 18th on the third lap and Jimmy Helias (Tony Kart/Vortex) 20th. The gaps in the top five were growing rapidly. Lammers lost several places, Bunatyan moved up to 3rd, Kirill Dzitiev (Tony Kart/Vortex) 4th and Dmitry Matveev (Tony Kart/Vortex) came back to 5th with 10 places gained. Bondarev was out of reach of his opponents, a second faster per lap after half-distance. Verbrugge had retired. Matveev was well established in 3rd position, far behind Dedecker. Bondarev won without any problems with a lead of 9” over Dedecker. Matveev was in 3rd place (+12 pl), but was penalised for a loose spoiler so Dzitiev took the third step of the podium. Maciej Gladysz (LN/Vortex) took 5th place. Helias had retired in view of the finish.
