79 Mini drivers were racing in the fourth round of the WSK Super Master Series in Sarno, where they had their Qualifying Practice late Friday morning in sunny conditions.
Jindrich Pesl (Parolin/Iame) took the lead on the fourth lap of the first session and remained leader with a time of 1’02”717. Kilian Josseron was 2nd at 66 thousandths, Luuk Taal (Energy/TM) was 3rd at 1,5 tenths. Dries van Langendonck (Parolin/TM) was 4th and Scott Lindblom (EKS/TM) 5th.
The second session was very strange with a big break in the rhythm around the second lap. Filippo Sala (KR/Iame) was finally the fastest in 1’02”912 on his fourth and final lap. Iacopo Martinese (Parolin/Iame) followed him by 5 hundredths, but both drivers were under investigation. Christian Costoya (Parolin/TM) finished 3rd, nearly three tenths back, Iskender Zulfikari (KR/Iame) 4th and Zeyu Chen (Parolin/TM) 5th.
Alessandro Truchot (Parolin/TM) was the fastest after 4 laps in the third session. His team-mate Jack Illife (Parolin/TM) was one of the few to improve in his sixth and final run and took the lead with 1’03”153, 7 hundredths ahead of Truchot and Giulio Miranda (Alonso Kart/Iame). Filippo Pancotti (Parolin/TM) finished 4th and Samuel Woolley (DR/TM) 5th.
