The KZ2 category finally included 56 drivers for the last meeting of the WSK Super Master Series in Sarno. On Friday morning, the sun gradually warmed up the dry track and the thermometer reached 10° for a very tight Timed Practice.
In the first session, the battle intensified in the last two minutes with 10 drivers in the same tenth. Danilo Albanese (KR/Iame) was the fastest on his sixth lap in 53”229, followed by Tom Leuillet (Birel ART/TM) at 6 thousandths. Jérémy Iglesias (CRG/TM) was 3rd, Emilien Denner (Sodi/TM) 4th and Matteo Vigano (Birel ART/TM) 5th, within 2 thousandths of the leader. Thomas Imbourg (Sodi/TM) finished 16th.
The final sprint of the second session also started with two minutes to go. Laurens van Hoepen (Birel ART/TM) had already improved on the provisional pole on his fourth lap and remained the leader until the end with his time of 53’194. Pedro Hiltbrand (Birel ART/TM) followed him by 47 thousandths, 0.002” ahead of Senna van Walstijn (Sodi/TM). Adrien Renaudin (Tony Kart/Vortex) was 4th ahead of Noah Milell (Tony Kart/Vortex). Arthur Carbonnel (Sodi/TM) was 13th at 0.361” ahead of Mattéo Spirgel (Sodi/TM) and Corentin Rousseau (Sodi/TM) 18th.
