66 drivers out of the 74 entered took part in the Qualifying Practice for the second round of the European OK Championship in Zuera. Sunny weather, a dry track and a temperature of around 20° Celsius offered excellent conditions to start the competition. Only the second half of each six minute session was used.
Round 1: Egozi – 1’00”327
On the first run, Harley Keeble (Birel ART/TM) led the group with 1’00”736. James Egozi (Tony Kart/Vortex) improved to 1’00”327 on the second lap. No one else passed him after that. Enzo Deligny (Parolin/TM) took 2nd place by 42 thousandths on his third lap, followed by Alex Powell (KR/Iame), Nacho Tunon (KR/Iame) and Ean Eyckmans (Tony Kart/Vortex). Cristian Bertuca (Birel ART/TM) finished 10th, with Malo Bolliet (KR/Iame) 12th ahead of Arvid Lindblad (KR/Iame). Luigi Coluccio (Tony Kart/Vortex) was 15th.
Round 2: Nakamura-Berta – 1’00”521
The second session was almost a minute later than the first round. Kean Nakamura-Berta (KR/Iame) was the fastest on the first lap with 1’01”221 ahead of Arthur Rogeon (KR/Iame) and Tuukka Taponen (Tony Kart/Vortex). Nakamura improved to 1’00”521 on the second lap, 9 thousandths ahead of Taponen. Joe Turney (Tony Kart/Vortex) was 3rd, followed by Rogeon, Zachary David (KR/Iame) and Maksim Orlov (Parolin/TM) in 6th. The normally fast Dion Gowda (LN/Vortex) was 21st, more than a second behind.
Round 3: Gomez – 1’00”503
At the end of the first lap, David Walther (Tony Kart/Vortex) was the fastest with 1’00”825 ahead of Matheus Ferreira (KR/Iame) and Evan Giltaire (KR/Iame). Gabriel Gomez (CRG/Iame) was in the lead on lap 2 and improved slightly on lap 3 to confirm the fastest time of 1’00”503. Giltaire followed in 2nd place at 83 thousandths, Juho Valtanen (Tony Kart/Vortex) was 3rd at one tenth, then Rintaro Sato (KR/Iame) 4th and Yuanpu Cui (KR/Iame) 5th. Tomass Stolcermanis (Energy/TM) finished 9th, Walther 11th and Freddie Slater (LN/Vortex) 13th.
