Thomas Pradier’s performance in Mini Max was excellent. This new day of racing saw the young man from Saint-Etienne finish successively 4th and 3rd, which puts him 6th overall in the three heats and in 3rd position before Friday’s Super Heat. Thomas also set a fastest lap in his last heat.
25th in Timed Qualifying and 10th after the heats, Louis Baziret can be satisfied with his brilliant performance in the qualifying phase. The young Norman is enjoying himself in Portugal and it shows on the track! Aloïs Girardet had a much more difficult time. In addition to his two penalties due to an incorrect position of the front fairing, Aloïs suffered an engine failure which caused him to lose several places in the second heat. The third heat was much better, with a return to 4th position.
Like the day before, Luka Scelles made some good moves from the last row. Unfortunately, a collision at the very end of the second heat cost him precious points. Luka must perform in the Super Heat if he wants to be among the finalists!
In Rotax Junior, an unfortunate collision in the pack involved two Frenchmen in the B/C heat. Maxence Bouvier was able to continue to finish 3rd, but Louis Iglesias got stuck in the tyres and could not start again due to a damaged chassis. It was a pity, because Louis was gaining in power. Maxence Bouvier and Mathis Carnejac both lost places in the tumult of their second heat, but are respectively classified in encouraging 8th and 11th positions overall. Bouvier had a fastest lap to his credit. Louis Iglesias fell to 34th, while Hugo Martiniello finally found some better settings. He climbed from 26th to 16th place in his final heat, faster than almost all the drivers ahead of him!
