The hotly contested KZ2 Qualifying Heats of the third round of the WSK Super Master Series in Sarno allowed the Italian Cristian Bertuca (Birel ART/TM) of the Birel ART Racing team to take three victories and move into the lead. His team-mate and compatriot Giuseppe Palomba (Birel ART/TM) took two wins to finish 2nd ahead of French poleman Emilien Denner (Sodi/TM), who took one win. Freddie Slater (Birel ART/TM) also won once and was 4th on Saturday evening, while Senna van Walstijn (Sodi/TM) moved up 10 places to 5th. Maximilian Paul (DR/Modena) was back in 6th place ahead of Riccardo Longhi (Birel ART/TM), who was making a recovery. Tom Leuillet (Tony Kart/Vortex) was penalised for a wrongly positioned front fairing and lost some ground in 8th position despite a victory. Viktor Gustafsson (CRG/TM) and Matteo Vigano (Birel ART/TM) completed the top 10. Held up at the start of the last race, Jérémy Iglesias (CRG/TM) was 13th ahead of Matteo Spirgel (Sodi/TM) and Adrien Renaudin (DR/TM), who improved by 10 places.
