For the first time a high point total meant success in the Qualifying Heats. Poleman Thibaut Ramaekers (KR/Iame) did just that in the first round of the Champions of the Future Euro Series in Valencia, finishing on Saturday evening with a clean sweep of 250 points. Stepan Antonov (KR/Iame) worked hard to move up from 6th to 2nd place with three wins. In 3rd position, Kirill Dzitiev (Tony Kart/Vortex) had twice been winner in front of Filippo Sala (Sodi/TM), once winner, but always well placed thanks to consistent competitiveness in the leading group. Lewis Wherrell (Exprit/TM) completed the top five ahead of Salim Hanna Hernandez (LN/Vortex), Eliott Kaczynski (Tony Kart/Vortex), Oleksandr Bondarev (KR/Iame), Scott Kin Lindblom (Tony Kart/Vortex) and Niklas Schaufler (KR/Iame). The races were very lively with many overtaking moves during subtle infiltrations on the inside of the corners. Incidents delayed the return of some drivers who were not sufficiently well qualified. Zak Drummond (Parolin/TM) only moved up one place to 17th, Alfie Slater (LN/Vortex) dropped from 25th to 23rd, Sebastian Lehtimaki (Tony Kart/Vortex) remained 27th. Nikita Nikishov (Parolin/TM) gained 30 places to 35th and Jindrich Pesl (IPK/TM) took 38th (+25 places). Frenchman Louis Cochet (Sodi/TM) moved up 11 places to 59th.
