At the end of the Super Heats, Oleksandr Bondarev (KR/Iame) took the lead over Lewis Wherrell (Exprit/TM) on the starting grid of the OK-Junior Final in Trinec. Thibaut Ramaekers (KR/Iame) and Dries van Langendonck (Exprit/TM) followed them on the second row ahead of Zac Drummond (Parolin/TM) and Christian Costoya (Parolin/TM). The sun had returned after the short rainy spell in the middle of the Academy Final, but it was still difficult to rule out another shower. The only French driver to qualify was Andy Consani (Parolin/TM), 25th. All drivers started with new Vega tyres.
Ramaekers followed Bondarev at the end of the race, Wherrell was 3rd, Drummond 4th, van Langendonck 5th and Costoya 6th ahead of his team-mate Jack Iliffe (Parolin/TM). Consani was already eight places back in 17th position. Wherrell attacked Ramaekers on the third lap for 2nd place, 7 tenths behind Bondarev. Drummond moved up to 3rd on his second attempt on Ramaekers. Wherrell gradually came back on the leader Bondarev, only 4 tenths behind on lap 6 and almost twice as much on the next lap. Scott Marsh (Sodi/TM) and Filippo Sala (Sodi/TM) collided. Kit Belosky (Birel ART/TM) was back up to 12th + 9 pl, and Consani 13th +12 pl. Wherrell increased the pressure on Bondarev after the halfway point. In 3rd, Drummond was 2” further back. Wherrell tried to attack for the first time on lap 16. Bondarev had to continue to favour speed without protecting his position too much despite the gap being reduced to 2 tenths. Bondarev stayed on course until the finish and gained 0,179” ahead of Wherrell who had tried everything. Drummond kept the 3rd position against Ramaekers, van Langendonck was 5th, Illife 6th and Costoya 7th, followed by Tiziano Monza (Parolin/TM) 8th, Scott Kin Lindblom (Tony Kart/Vortex) 9th and Kian Fardin (KR/Iame) 10th. Belofsky was 11th (+10 pl) and Consani 12th (+13 pl).
