The OK-Junior Final of the third round of the Champions of the Future Euro Series got underway in sunny conditions at Rødby, with temperatures of 17°. Louis Cochet (Sodi/TM) and Thibaut Ramaekers (KR/Iame) crashed out at the start of the race, while Oleksandr Bondarev (KR/Iame) retired. Zac Drummond (Parolin/TM) led ahead of Iacopo Martinese (KR/Iame) and Vivek Kanthan (Parolin/TM). Lewis Wherrell (Exprit/TM) was 4th, Stepan Antonov (KR/Iame) 5th and Oliver Kinmark (Tony Kart/Vortex) 6th ahead of Scott Lindblom (Tony Kart/Vortex). Filippo Sala (Sodi/TM) left the track on the fifth lap. Wherrell overtook Kanthan to take 3rd place. The top seven remained very close. Christian Costoya (Parolin/TM) and Dries van Langendonck (Exprit/TM) returned to the top 10 ahead of Alfie Slater (LN/TM). In 12th place, Niklas Schaufler (KR/Iame) had made up 15 places. Martinese lost a bit of pace and Kanthan was back in 3rd place behind Drummond and Wherrell in the middle of a battle. Wherrell took 1st place after half race. Drummond was back in 4th while Kanthan and Antonov moved up to 2nd and 3rd. Martinese had rediscovered his speed and attacked Drummond to take 4th place. Antonov had overtaken Kanthan for 2nd place. Wherrell escaped into the lead more than a second ahead of Antonov and Kanthan. The final lap was full of action. Wherrell took victory with a 2.3″ lead, while Kanthan crossed the line in 2nd place ahead of Drummond. Antonov and Martinese completed the top five, while Taym Saleh (KR/Iame) was back in 6th place (+6 pl) ahead of Dries van Langendonck (Exprit/TM), who set the fastest lap but was penalised to 12th for his loose spoiler. Augustus Toniolo (KR/Iame) moved up 23 places to 10th and Kirill Dzitiev (Tony Kart/Vortex) was up 21 places to 14th. Andy Consani (Parolin/TM) managed to get back to 17th after a complicated start to the race, while Cochet finished 28th.
