The International Karting Ranking (IKR) has passed the 1,000-driver mark across the 27 events on the CIK-FIA International calendar, held to date in 13 different categories.
Following his podium finish in the European Championship this weekend in Sarno (ITA), Italian KZ2 driver Cristian Bertuca has just taken 1st place in all categories. His consistency at the front since the start of the season in both FIA Karting and WSK Promotion events has been rewarded. In 11th place, the new FIA Karting European Champion – KZ2 Freddie Slater (GBR) leapt 21 places.
The third round of the Rotax Max Challenge Euro Trophy, held simultaneously in Mariembourg (BEL), saw Frenchman Nicolas Picot move up five places to 2nd in the DD2 Master category. Great Britain’s Ethan Jeff Hall climbed 10 places into the top five of the Max category, while Dutchman Kacper Schormans (+1) moved into the Max Junior top three, followed by Hungarian Armand Hamilton (+3).
The next round for the IKR, which will be held at Cremona (ITA) from July 12th-15th as part of the Champion of the Future Euro Series (OK – OKJ), will undoubtedly bring further changes to the standings, which you can follow on fiakarting.com.
