Beautiful sunny weather and 12° for the Mini U10 Prefinals of the WSK Final Cup in Lonato.
Prefinal A: Perico narrowly beats Di Pietrantonio
Niccolo Perico (Energy/TM) held on to pole position at the start, ahead of Mark Loomets (Energy/TM) and Lucas Bonhomme (Exprit/Vortex), with Lorenzo Di Pietrantonio (Parolin/Iame) in 4th and then 3rd and 2nd. Di Pietrantonio took the lead on the fourth of the 10 laps. Blazej Kostrzewa (Parolin/Iame) was 5th ahead of Marc Alexandru Moia (DR/TM). Perico then regained the lead. Jean Poujol (Parolin/Iame) held on to 7th place. The battle was fierce in the top five. Perico won by 21 thousandths ahead of Di Pietrantonio. Bonhomme secured a fine 3rd place, followed by Kostrzewa and Loomets. Poujol finished 6th.
Prefinal B: Miron Lorente comes back in the final laps
Henri Kumpen (Parolin/Iame) closed the gap on leader Daniel Miron Lorente (KR/Iame) with Alessandro Nanni (EKS/TM) 3rd. Kumpen took the lead on the third lap, with Nanni taking over on the following lap. Mason Brooks (KR/Iame) was not far behind in 4th place ahead of Jason Kosmopoulos (Energy/TM). Miron was back in P1 with two laps to go, followed by Kumpen. Miron Lorente won the race, a tenth ahead of Kosmopoulos, Kumpen 3rd, Brooks 4th and Leon Chelidze (KR/Iame) 5th. After a complicated start to the race, Lino Pedrazza (KR/Iame) dropped back to 24th.
