The skies were cloudy and the wind was strengthening a little in Lonato for the OK-Junior Final of the WSK Champions Cup, accentuating the chilly feeling. Several incidents occurred on the formation lap and the red flag was waved. The race was launched a few minutes later with all the participants.
Rocco Coronel (KR/Iame) took the lead in the first lap against Filippo Sala (LN/TM) and Christian Costoya (Parolin/TM). Sala replaced him, Niklas Schaufler (KR/Iame) took 2nd place and Dries van Langendonck (Exprit/TM) followed in 3rd place, with Costoya in 6th. Schaufler took P1 on lap 6 at the expense of Sala. Costoya fought for the lead with varying degrees of success. Schaufler gradually increased his lead over Sala, on the verge of being joined by van Langendonck, who moved up to 2nd on lap 15. Schaufler won the race 1.9 seconds ahead of van Langendonck, with Sala hot on his heels. Coronel finished 4th ahead of Costoya. Thomas Pradier (KR/Iame) retired with four laps to go and Aloïs Girardet (Energy/TM) finished 19th.
