The number of Mini Gr.3 drivers had risen since last week to 48 by the time of the first round of the WSK Super Master Series at Lonato. The weather was fine, but the temperature was still cool at 6°C.
Session 1: Povazhania – 52”582
The majority of the group waited for the final moments to face the clock. Sofia Povazhania (Parolin/Iame) was fastest in 52”582, 33 thousandths ahead of Manuel Martufi (IPK/Iame) and Daniil Kutskov (KR/Iame). Albert Tamm (Parolin/Iame) finished 4th, more than a tenth behind, followed by Gioele Girardello (Parolin/TM) in 5th place. Ayrton Lamarche (OTK/TM) was 18th and Nathéo Combacon (KR/TM) 19th.
Session 2: Miron Lorente – 52”019
William Calleja (Parolin/Iame) dominated proceedings early on, but Daniel Miron Lorente (KR/Iame) took pole in 52”019, 57 thousandths faster than Calleja. Cristian Blandino (Tgroup/TM) was 3rd, Oleksandr Legenkyi (KR/Iame) 4th by more than a tenth and Antoine Venant (KR/Iame) 5th. Lucas Bonhomme (Exprit/Vortex) took an interesting 7th place, with Zack Zhu (EKS/TM) ranked 15th.
