64 OK drivers battled it out at Franciacorta in qualifying for Round 3 of the WSK Super Master Series. The track was dry, the sky partly cloudy and the temperature was 10°.
Session 1: Pavan – 47”144
Sebastiano Pavan (Tony Kart/Vortex) set the fastest time in his 6th and final run in 47’144. Thibaut Ramekers (KR/Iame) followed him at 3 hundredths, then David Walther (Tony Kart/Vortex) 3rd by a tenth ahead of Tiziano Monza and Wojciech Woda (Tony Kart/Vortex). Thomas Quincé finished 17th and Andy Consani (Sodi/TM) 18th.
Session 2: Bottaro – 47”094
Davide Bottaro (CRG/Iame) was leading on the third lap ahead of Dmitry Matveev (KR/Iame). The battle then continued between these two drivers. Roland Kuklane (Tony Kart/TM) and Lorenzo Campos (KR/Iame) got in between them, but Bottaro took pole in 47’094, 66 thousandths behind Matveev. Lewis Wherrell (Exprit/TM) was back in 4th ahead of Ean Eyckmans (Birel ART/TM).
