The Slovakia Ring track offered good grip on Sunday morning for Champions of the Future Euro Series #3.
Super Heat 1: Costoya dominates
Christian Costoya (Parolin/TM) got off to a good start ahead of Arjen Kräling (KR/Iame) and Roman Kamyab (LN/TM). Filippo Sala (LN/TM) quickly overtook Rocco Coronel (KR/Iame). Louis Cochet (KR/Iame) was 13th. Costoya had a lead of more than 2 seconds over Kamyab, who had overtaken Kräling. Daniel Kelleher (KR/Iame) was then 4th. Costoya’s pace continued unabated and he held the lead to win 2.8 seconds ahead of Kamyab. Kräling finished 3rd, Scott Marsh (Tony Kart/Vortex) moved up to 4th +11 places, Devin Walz (Exprit/TM) 5th. 8th, Iskender Zulfikari (Exprit/TM) had moved up 13 places. Thomas Pradier (Tony Kart/Vortex) made a big comeback in 14th place, up 18 places. Cochet finished 20th.
Super Heat 2: Schaufler unrivalled
Niklas Schaufler (KR/Iame) was quickly back in the lead ahead of Noah Baglin (KR/Iame) and Harrison Mackie (KR/Iame). Dries van Langendonck (Exprit/TM) had not started. Schaufler continued to increase his lead and eventually took victory 3.2″ ahead of Baglin. Iacopo Martinese (KR/Iame) rallied at the end of the race to take 3rd place ahead of Mackie and William Calleja (Parolin/TM). Joel Pohjola (Tony Kart/Vortex) had made up 14 places to finish 7th ahead of Ilie Tristan Crisan (Tony Kart/Vortex) +12 places and Dean Hoogendoorn (KR/Iame) +9 places. Théo Battisti (Sodi/TM) had retired.
